CHRIS LINDQUIST NAMED HEAD FOOTBALL COACH (6-20-07)

University of Minnesota and St. Louis Park grad Chris Lindquist was named head football coach for the Fighting Saints on June 15^th.  Chris replaces Marc Klatt who assumed an assistant football position at St. Cloud State University after being the head coach for one year at SFHS.

Chris has been a assistant coach at St. Louis Park, Blake and Hopkins while teaching physical education for the previous 7 years.  He has served as quarterback coach, offensive coordinator, running back coach, receiver coach, defensive back coach and coordinated all aspects of special teams play throughout his career.  He has also been an assistant track coach. He partnered in writing a federal grant to include the installation of an extensive challenge course and a wide range of fitness equipment for Hopkins H.S. and collaborated with team members in teaching a "Freshwater Academy".   He will also be teaching fitness in the St. Francis High School P.E. Dept.   Chris and his wife, Amy, have three boys.  Chris began his football duties on June 18^th and is eagerly awaiting the beginning of the season on August 13^th.
