WELCOME TO SF FOOTBALL 2009!

                We are excited about the 2009 football season.  The coaches, players, and Grid Club members have been diligently working this off-season to make the 2009 the best yet!  The coaches and players have worked hand in hand this summer both in the weight room and on the field to build physical strength and develop fundamental techniques that will help us be successful this fall.  We have instituted a new strength training program and have changed our offense and defense to better cater to our athletes.  We are confident these changes will translate to more success on the field in 2009. 

Our Grid Club members have also worked feverishly to get ready for this season.  We have people volunteering their time in many areas.  Some of them include: team meals, game programs, our website, and various special events.  Perhaps our biggest undertaking this offseason was to develop our own “Grid Iron Discount Card”.  We have always sold the discount cards as our primary fundraiser, but this year we personally solicited local businesses and had the cards printed ourselves.  This means a more local theme on the card as well as, a community connection between our football program and the business community in and around ISD #15.  I personally believe that this is the best card yet! 

Lastly, our youth league is well underway with over 325 kids playing youth football.  I would personally like to thank all of those involved for their efforts in helping to build a strong youth football program that our community is proud of!  Thank you and please remember this year’s theme:
